Krishna House Retreat 2025 — Session Details

Thursday, May 1

11:00 AM – Haladhara Maharaja
Developing a Deeper Relationship with Guru
Discussing the nature of the guru-disciple relationship. For those looking to establish a connection with a guru and for those wanting to deepen that connection, this session offers insights into the heart of this sacred bond and how to nurture it over time.

3:30 PM – Brhat-mrdanga Das
Growing Through Giving
Explore how to increase growth in devotional service by sharing Krishna consciousness with others. We'll discuss obstacles to participating in the sankirtan mission and practical ways to overcome them, aiming to leave you with greater enthusiasm and confidence for devotional service.

Friday, May 2

10:30 AM – Prabhupada Priya Devi Dasi
Alone With Krishna
Relationships flourish when we take time to be present—heart to heart, soul to soul. The same is true with Krishna, the Supreme Person and ultimate object of love. In this session, you’ll learn to spend quality time with Krishna, open your heart, feel His loving presence, and rekindle your relationship with your eternal best friend.

3:00 PM – Nanda Nandana Devi Dasi
Managing Personal Expectations in Bhakti Productively
How do we emotionally and actively respond to a sense of personal failure in spiritual practice? Though we have productive choices for growth, we may sometimes feel hopelessly stuck. This workshop helps troubleshoot feelings of failure into a progressive, hopeful plan for spiritual development.

Followed by: Krishna House India Yatra Presentation

Saturday, May 3

11:00 AM – Jaya Krishna Dasa
Exploring ISKCON’s Future
In this interactive session, we will explore the vision of the North American RGB and invite attendees to contribute their perceptions and ideas. Breakout groups will reflect on how young people view ISKCON today, opportunities for outreach, and how we can carry Lord Caitanya’s mission forward.

Followed by: Book Launch: The Living Gita by Prabhupada Priya Devi Dasi

3:30 PM – Brajananda Das & Kumari Sakhi Devi Dasi
Ashram Transition: Real Talk on Readiness, Relationships & the Road Ahead
Whether you're still in the ashram or exploring the next step, this session offers grounded, heartfelt guidance rooted in real personal experience. We'll share honest truths about emotional readiness, life skills, and preparing for relationships—with reflection, real talk, and encouragement.

Sunday, May 4

11:00 AM – Kalakantha Dasa
Our Personal Contribution to the Bhakti Habitat
How do each of us contribute to building and sustaining a vibrant bhakti environment? In this session, we’ll reflect on our unique roles in creating a thriving devotional habitat—for ourselves and future generations.

Frequently asked questions

What can I expect?  You can expect the association of wonderful people in a gorgeous spiritual community. We are here to build relationships! There will be classes, discussions, kirtan, and opportunities to explore New Vrindaban.

How do I get there?  If you can drive with friends, that's great! If you're flying, the Pittsburgh airport is the closest.

How do I get there from the airport?  We will coordinate with New Vrindaban residents in late April to arrange rides for a fee. If you can coordinate arrival times with other devotees, you'll all save money! In past years, it's been around $100. The airport is about 90 minutes away.

When should I arrive?  Wednesday night will be check-in and we may have optional activities (kirtan, walks, visiting the palace) but no classes. You can get into your rooms at 4pm, but feel free to arrive earlier.

What time do we leave? On Sunday we will have morning sessions after the morning program and then we will share the Sunday feast with New Vrindaban, which is at 1:30.
